So, it’s the last Friday before Christmas and of course you’ve got everything completely organised and under control (I know I have…ahem…). The turkey has been bought (or at least, is currently pecking away in a field somewhere blissfully unaware of the horrific fate that awaits it – not to put a downer on it or anything), all the presents have been wrapped and the house has been decorated with a potentially lethal number of lights. Yep, everything is set so the big day goes down in style.

Here’s an interesting one (at least, interesting as far as spares and appliance repairs go – we’re not about to tap into a grand theological debate here): have you got an integrated dishwasher in your kitchen with a door that slams down when you open it and leaves your crockery and glassware quivering?
What?! You DO?!
Appliances, there are a lot of them. Appliance spares, there are even more of those. And when it comes to making videos showing you how to fit said spares in said appliances, we’ve really got our work cut out for us. While we’re very proud of the depth and breadth of our videos on our YouTube channel (we’re pushing 400 videos as I write), the list of videos that we make can never be exhausted. So, when it comes to deciding what to film next, we’ve got a LOT to choose from.
Got a vacuum that’s just not cleaning? A cooker that’s not cooking? A coffee machine that’s not coffeeing (I know that’s definitely a real word so don’t worry about getting a dictionary because I’ve already looked and it’s totally in there)?
As summer draws to a close, we have a few garden appliance storage tips for the months ahead. If you love being super organised and expertly prepared then getting your garden appliances cleaned, checked over and stored away will give you a head start next year and prevent any potential problems.
Even though we seem to be experiencing a typical British slow start to the sunny season, I’m sure it is not here to stay. Hopefully come July the temperature will get consistently warmer and your garden will be able to benefit.
In the meantime there are some things you can do ahead of the warmer weather to continue to get the most from your garden.
Okay, so hopefully you’ve had some time to get in your garden and get your lawn looking healthy (if you’ve not, let Matt advise what you can do to get started in this video- How to get a great looking lawn)
Now, next step, here are some really simple tips you can follow to maintain and keep it looking great through the summer.
We’re pretty proud of our how-to videos, which help our customers with common appliance fixes.
Preparing for and shooting the videos can be a long process, but it’s absolutely worth it in the end to be able to provide information that can help DIY’ers or more importantly, non DIY’ers fix their appliances all by themselves. Satisfaction, coupled with cheeky gloating, is guaranteed.
