Ok, so you’ve done a good thing here by finding a spare, fixing your appliance and saving yourself some time and dosh. So why not go ahead and pamper yourself. Fix it yourself, fix yourself. After all you deserve it. Right, so you’re at home a little tired from your appliance repairs and not entirely keen on the idea of going out for anything……..surely there are some things in your home you can make use of?

Our fix-it yourself story competition is well and truly underway. After much consideration and deliberation, we’ve chosen our second round fix-it winners. As mentioned we’ve been really chuffed at the entries received thus far. The stories have been more than enjoyable to read and generally made our decision-making process somewhat difficult. This week we’ve chosen three winners whose stories include the fixing of a trusty ol’ dishwasher, a 1p fridge rejuvenation and a sweet Aunt’s Cordon Bleu double cooker rescue.

Right, so firstly a huge thank you to all who’ve been sharing your fix-it stories with us. We’ve received some absolute corkers which makes our job of reading them totally and utterly enjoyable. (Watch this space for further announcements of winners!) We’ve also been lucky to get some pretty fantastic fix-it photos that we’re pretty keen to share. Right folks we are now settled and moving forward into 2012 and there are no doubt plenty of you out there still working on sorting (and ahem sticking to) your resolutions. I personally don’t feel we need the coming of a new year as an excuse to help get ourselves sorted but regardless for those of you needing the extra push then go ahead and let the new year assist you. A thought; if you want to put off your personal resolutions- weight loss, quitting smoking, exercising, being a better citizen but yet still do some good then why not focus on your lovely and loyal home. Come now, get those appliances working in tip top shape. Your kitchen for start has no doubt taken somewhat of a beating if you were entertaining over the holiday period.
