Hotpoint, Indesit & Creda Tumble Dryer Safety Notice

Indesit Company – the company behind Hotpoint, Indesit, and Creda have issued a safety notice for their tumble dryers, after identifying potential concerns.

Following a review of products, potential concerns with the condenser and vented tumble dryers manufactured between April 2004 and September 2015 have been identified. The company has found that in rare cases excess fluff can come into contact with the heating element, which presents a fire risk.

The manufacturer White Knight has issued a safety notice which relates to a part fitted to small group of tumble dryers that were manufactured in 2010. The part in question is a connector that was fitted to a number of dryers manufactured in October of 2010. The part does not meet White Knight’s required specifications and is being regarded as a potential fire hazard.
