We’re very excited to announce that eSpares has reached another milestone – 100 million views across our videos on our YouTube channel! It’s been quite some time since we start creating video tutorials on appliance maintenance, repair guides and more, and we’re thrilled to see just how much our content is helping appliance owners each and every day.

Of course, we couldn’t have reached this milestone without every single one of our viewers, and our YouTube channel wouldn’t be where it is today without all of your trust in our advice and guidance. So here’s a huge thank you to each and every one of you! Now, let’s take a little look at the journey so far…

Humble beginnings…

Our YouTube channel was launched all the way back in 2008 (time flies!) when we released our very first video showing viewers how to change the lightbulb in an AEG refrigerator. Since then, that video has reached almost 200,000 views, but that’s just the tiniest tip of the iceberg! A year later we had 58 appliance care videos on our channel for the masses to turn to in their times of appliance crisis, and by the end of 2010, we reached a million views across our videos. Not too shabby for a couple of years’ work!

Over the following years, we continued to create as much varied appliance care video content as possible. From guides on how to replace washing machine door seals and oven heating elements to cleaning tips and advice for just about every household appliance, we continued to grow our channel so we could share our fixing and DIY wisdom, doing everything in our power to spread the “repair, don’t replace” mindset. By 2016, we had accumulated one million hours viewed in total, and by 2020 we reached a whopping 100,000 subscribers. Our greatest milestone yet… well, until this one, anyway!

Of course, with reaching 100 million views, we’re bound to have quite a few hits in our 13-year video catalogue. All in all, it’s been an amazing 13 years on YouTube for eSpares. Over a decade ago, we would never have dreamed of such an incredible milestone as reaching 100 million views. Sometimes, we still struggle to comprehend just how huge that figure really is, but it warms our hearts to see so many people turning to our videos and adopting the “repair, don’t replace” attitude that we live to spread. • If you were to travel 100,000,000 miles, you would be able to circle the earth… 4000 times!
