50’s Appliance Chic

We get a lot of great feedback from our customers about our products and service. There are certain comments that really make me chuckle, ones that go along the lines of, ‘Well it’s a light bulb. Took it out of the pack and put it in- not a lot to get excited about here.’ Or ‘It’s a grill pan. What do you want me to say about a grill pan?’ OK so not all spare parts are particularly exciting, but on the flipside we do also receive tons of comments where people describe their satisfaction and pride in being able to fix their appliances themselves. Things like ‘I never knew how easy it was, can’t wait for something else to break’ or ‘I almost hope something else breaks so I can fix it myself.’

So yeah the door hinge itself is never going to be very exciting but being able to fix that door hinge so that your fridge is in working order again is pretty darn good. Speaking of ‘pretty’ fridges, check out these old appliance adverts. It doesn’t get much more exciting than that.
