Model Number Page Updates

How eSpares is making fixing your appliances even easier!

Here at eSpares, making appliance care and repair as easy as possible for appliance owners has always been our priority. That’s why we’re delighted to introduce our new and improved Model Number Finder page!

Designed to help customers find the model numbers of their specific appliances, our updated page is here to ensure the fixing and maintenance of your home goods is easier than ever.

Why are model numbers important?

Before we take a tour of the new eSpares Model Number Finder page, it’s important to understand why knowing the model numbers of your appliances is necessary. First of all, manufacturers can sometimes discover problems or safety issues with appliances after they’ve been released. When this happens, manufacturers will recall the appliance in question, so it’s important to know your appliance model information as this will help you determine whether or not your appliance is affected.

Another reason is that, when one of your appliances experiences a fault or damage, the process of fixing one model may be different to another – especially since spare parts vary from model to model. For example, a new heating element for an older Bosch cooker will be different to a new heating element for a more modern Beko model. Therefore, knowing the model number for an appliance is vital for ensuring you can repair it safely and properly with the correct parts… but actually finding these numbers isn’t always easy. Sometimes they’re in tricky places you wouldn’t think to look, and sometimes they’ve even rubbed off altogether. That’s where our upgraded Model Number Finder page comes in!

The new page

Our new and improved page has been upgraded in various ways to make finding your appliance model numbers a walk in the park. First, we’ve reorganised the page, providing an improved structure for appliance categories. This allows viewers to quickly and easily locate the appliance they’re wanting to find the model number for. We’ve even added small icons above each category, allowing you to identify the category of your appliance with a single glance, be it a kitchen appliance, an outdoor appliance or anything else.

Many model numbers are often displayed on appliances on a rating plate or sticker. As this plate or sticker isn’t always easy to identify, we’ve also included an example of a rating plate at the very top of the page. This shows appliance owners roughly what to look for on their appliances so they can find their model numbers without any guesswork. On top of this, we’ve also provided a video at the bottom which shows viewers what to do if the model number has rubbed off. This video includes the various steps you can take to identify your model number if it’s no longer visible on your actual appliance.

Appliance pop-ups

It isn’t just the main page we’ve upgraded either! We’ve also improved the pop-ups for each and every appliance type once you click on them, making the process of finding a model number even more convenient. These improvements include videos added within some of the pop-ups to guide you on finding the model number for that specific appliance. Furthermore, there are also video icons next to all of the appliance types which include video guides, letting you know which appliances we have model number finding videos for.

For the appliance types we don’t have videos for, we’ve still included examples of rating plates or stickers alongside information about where you can find these plates or stickers on the appliance. This includes images indicating where you can find the numbers on each appliance, with the images organised in a carousel format for your scrolling convenience. This, paired with the improved and easier-to-follow layout, means viewers have everything they need to find their appliance model number as speedily as possible.

Finally, we’ve also improved the process of finding model numbers on every appliance page. Whenever you find yourself looking at an eSpares page for a specific appliance (washing machines, lawnmowers, etc.) and you select your brand, you can then select the ‘See All Models’ option on that brand page to see every model for that brand of appliance.

On the pop-up that follows, we have also included updated examples of rating plates and stickers for specific makes of appliances. These plates and stickers don’t just show the style of model number you can look for, but also the serial number and other relevant information. This means that, when you’re shopping for new spares or accessories, you can find your model number not only on our specific Model Number Finder page but also on the pages for every appliance type too!

All in all, we’re extremely happy to have improved our resources when it comes it helping appliance owners find the model numbers for their appliances. Now, with our upgraded Model Number Finder page, customers can fix, maintain and buy spare parts for all of their appliances with zero hassle, making appliance care with eSpares truly easier than ever before!
