This week we received a piece of very good news we wanted to share. We’re exceedingly proud to announce that our team has been nominated as a finalist for the Retail Week Ecommerce Team of the Year Award!
We’re in very good company too. In fact, you may have heard of a couple of our fellow nominees.
There’s global supermarket chain Aldi, their name may ring a bell. Thriving department store John Lewis (beloved by the nation for their exemplary service and tear-jerking Christmas ads) have also been nominated, along with iconic British retailer Marks & Spencer (who are multinational too of course). Online department store Shop Direct (the company behind Very and Littlewoods), financial services giant Western Union and innovative beauty retail brand MyShowcase are also up for the award.
As we’re sure you can imagine it’s an absolute honour to be nominated alongside such impressive and worthy brands. And we couldn’t have done it without you, our customers. Seriously. Thank you for sharing with us your stories of appliance woes and your triumphant fixes. Your problems and successes inspire us to keep on finding new ways to improve our brand and make it easier for you to fix your appliances yourself.
As to the overall winner, we’ll find out the results in September. Which means we’ve got a few months to wait with bated breath and practice both our champagne opening technique and our gracious losers smile and clap. But we’re secretly hoping we won’t need the latter.
