Check out this video, friends. You’ll see that even if your cooker loks worn out, it doesn’t mean it has to be destined for the scrapheap. All it can take is a couple of fix-its, and you can have your oven looking like new again.
Yearly Archives: 2011
I’ve seen the future, and it’s malleable and amorphous. Electrolux, the Swedish proprietors of all things appliance, run a ‘Design Lab’ every year, with the brief ‘to specifically seek solutions that address how people prepare food, clean and do dishes both within and beyond the home‘.
Think that just because your oven isn’t looking so good any more, you need to get rid of it? Trade her in for a newer model? Discard it like a used tissue? Not so, my hasty friends. There’s no reason why you can’t get an eyesore of an oven looking beautiful again. Exhibit A: this video.
As promised last week, I’d like to welcome you to the world premiere (as in, it’s right here in this blog) of ‘How to replace the bearings in a washing machine‘. Early discussions about having Matt ‘blue up’ for the role were dismissed, and he decided to play it more or less straight. Anyways, it’s clearly the movie event of the year, so get the popcorn in, clear your schedule for the afternoon (it really is quite long) and enjoy.
As you’ve no doubt seen, we make videos so that the people we supply parts to have a helping hand when fitting them. Sometimes the people we supply parts to make the videos themselves. We like it when this happens.
Today is a big day. And that’s not just because it’s a Friday. It’s not even just because it’s John Travolta’s birthday. Nope. Today is a big day because it’s the first time that our video team (Gabe and Matt to be precise) are tackling what is probably your most requested How To video.
It really is the worst when you’re unloading the dishwasher and you notice all the stuff that was meant to have been washed has still got the crusty remains of last night’s dinner all over it. If crusty crockery is bothering you, check out this little gem of a video. In it, Matt takes you through the causes of, and solutions for, your dishwasher not cleaning properly.
On Friday we filmed a load of videos for the Sebo X1 vacuum, and I’ve got to say, as nerdy as it sounds, I fell in love with it. It’s a brilliantly simple, solidly put together piece of kit. The choice of hotel room service providers the world over, this vacuum is really reliable, and all the parts are interchangeable and an absolute doddle to fit. Read more
Tomorrow we’re shooting some videos on an old Sebo X1 vacuum. Before we get to shooting the videos, obviously we need to do a bit of research in to the appliance. Apart from taking the appliance apart, we do a lot of online research. Whilst researching today I found a quite surreal American informercial shot in the 1980s(?) for the Windsor Sensor vacuum. That’s what the Americans call the Sebo X1 y’see. Check this little beauty out…
