It’s the day we’ve all been waiting for! The one day of the year we get to dress up as our favourite superheroes, eat as much cake as possible and play games at work whilst helping to raise important funds for disadvantaged children in the Midlands.

It’s Free Radio Cash for Kids Superhero Day!

What a day it’s been! It all started when 2 Hulks, 2 Batmen, and 1 Captain Underpants walked through the doors of the eSpares HQ this morning and from then, we knew it was going to be a great day!

For the second year in a row, we’ve joined forces with Free Radio Cash for Kids to do everything we can to help make a difference. Last year, we raised over £1600 pounds for the charity and welcomed the Free Radio breakfast team along for the fun! This year, we went one better and sponsored the whole event!

Superhero Day isn’t just an excuse for us to wear our pants outside our trousers, (although it is a lot of fun) it’s a chance for people to give back to their community and help important charities in our local area continue to do the amazing work that they do. Here are the charities Cash for Kids works hard to help:

Visit from the Free Radio Breakfast Team

We challenged Lauren and Ben from Free Radio to a Chubby Bunny (or Silly Superheros as we liked to call it) and face painting challenge! Ben was crowned the Chubby Bunny champion after fitting 10 marshmallows in his mouth at once! Lauren unfortunately only managed 4 (but it’s the taking part that counts!)

To continue our quest to raise funds we held a Balloon Raffle hosted by no other than Captain Underpants and our very own eSpares hero!

Once again Superhero Day turned out to be a fantastic day! We’re so proud to have sponsored this event and would like to thank the eSpares team for getting involved and anyone who donated towards the Cash for Kids charity! Your kind donations are helping to improve the lives of disadvantaged children.
