The Duchess of Cambridge is getting in on the action and working with award-winning landscape architects Andree Davies and Adam White to design the RHS Garden. Named ‘Back to the Future’, the design aims to celebrate the countryside and encourage families and communities to rediscover nature and highlight how being active in nature can positively impact our physical and mental health. It will coincide with the Duchess’s work to raise awareness of mental health with the Heads Together charity.
‘Gardening Will Save The World’ by IKEA and Tom Dixon

Tom Dixon and IKEA have teamed up to show how gardening and technology can work hand in hand to save the world! Featuring over 4000 plants on two levels, the garden will allow visitors to experience the contrast of the hyper-natural and hyper-tech. The base garden will display a horticultural laboratory to grow hyper-natural edibles and the second, the raised garden, is a botanical oasis. It aims to challenge the way society looks at growing and shows that it’s possible to have a place to grow your own plants in the city.

This coastal themed garden is designed to celebrate the positive impact of spending meaningful time on social media and how it enriches the lives of young people. Using the natural connectivity of water and the ocean, it aims to represent the interconnectivity between our online and offline lives and the changes and opportunities that social media has influenced. It has been built specifically for young people and will be re-homed to provide a space where they can connect around shared passions or interests.

Not only is this a display of beautiful flowers and stunning architecture, but it also invites visitors to see the world through the eyes of a bee! The 20m long by 7m wide tunnel will be planted with British native bee-friendly flowers that will include an upside-down lavender field and feature UV lighting and a honey-scented trail. It aims to inspire visitors to use these types of plants and encourage the fascinating work of bees!
