The eSpares team vs lockdown!

We weren’t going to let a simple thing like staying indoors stop us from fulfilling our plans!
Swopping local cuisine for homemade sushi, midnight raving for daytime dozing and dancing shoes for comfy slippers, we took on lockdown and well and truly defeated it! Here’s how the team continued with their springtime plans from the comfort of their own four walls.
From Japan to travel ban
El, our Content Manager, had booked a dream trip to Japan. Did she sit at home and feel sad about it? Maybe for a while. But not for long, because El lived out her holiday at home without a hint of jet lag in sight! There was sushi, there were theme park rides and even a sighting of Super Mario himself. We’d say that’s pretty damn close to the real thing.
There’s a rave in my kitchen what am I ‘gonna do!
Dance! Because that’s exactly what our Head of Brand Ad did to celebrate his birthday lockdown. There were strobe lights, his favourite music, food and the family and no drunken taxi ride at the end of the night – result!
As a bonus birthday gift, Ad was treated to a traditional birthday sing-along from his colleagues, which definitely didn’t sound like a bag of cats. Ad even said it was his best birthday yet (or something along those lines…)
So many shoes, so little holidays
Our Social Media Manager, Mariya took the phrase ‘get your dancing shoes on’ a little too seriously! When her dance festival in Croatia got cancelled, Mariya took out all the shoes she had ordered for her trip and held her very own dance festival at home wearing all her shoes and even mixing and matching! You go, Mariya, one step at a time!

Kirsty, the Copywriter and pub quiz enthusiast, was missing nights out with her friends. So, every week, sometimes twice a week (yes they are bored) they get together over video call and take it in turns to host a quiz! Next stop… Family Fortunes!
Self Isolation presents:
Sun, music and booze, what more could you want from a summer festival? When our Graphic Designer, Lee and his girlfriend Charlotte couldn’t attend their festival as planned, they brought it home to them! The only thing missing was the port-a-loos and we don’t think they minded. Tickets to next year’s #LockdownFestival will be on sale in due course!
