Hosepipe Ban Update
June 12, 2012 | DIY & Home Improvement | No comments
It would appear that the hose-pipe ban could be ended sooner for some areas in the UK. Thames Water, the largest in the UK has announced that unless there is a ‘Saharan twist’ in the weather the ban should be lifted before autumn. (Not that any of us would be particularly interested in watering anything in our gardens at the minute!!)
It is interesting to think that with all the rainfall, the underground reservoirs are still very low. Thames water advised ‘we need a little longer to be sure that we will have enough water to get us through the summer and autumn without restrictions and we will update our customers again on the situation towards end of June’ With that said ‘The river Thames provides 70 per cent of the water to customers and its levels are where they are expected to be for this time of year.‘
Tried explaining to these lads about the ban. They weren’t having it…..
Meanwhile in Taiwan……..
