The TIME taken for a repair is RELATIVE only to what else you could be doing.
FIXING it yourself is both Rewarding and Satisfying.

Since finding eSpares. I have replaced elements in ovens, grills (finally had to replace the oven but that was 2 years after replacing parts)! Door Seal on washing machine and several heating elements in a tumble drier. These were all done with the help of your excellent videos.
Customer Service is just first class and parts are easy to order with the assurance that the parts are correct and good quality. eSpares has saved me time and money.

Sometimes if you are not sure what is the part that needs changing it could be a problem and a expensive exercise, Which then can affect your confidence in doing the repair.

While it appears that Count Confidence is the most likely monster to stop you from repairing your appliance he doesn’t work alone – his minions include the Technical Troll and the Information Imp, and they are sometimes aided and abetted by the Wiring Werewolf and Regulations Rodent!

Thanks for this chance to win!
It was a tough choice between The Count & Time Terror – I’ll tackle lots of things if I can follow clear instructions or replace something like-for-like copying the original but worry about tasks over running so my (autistic) son arrives home before they are finshed whoever is doing them. At least with DIY I can watch the clock & maybe finish a task the next day

Definitely the money monster, mine is more the fear of how much and at that point is it worth just totally replacing

The time terror gets me…. it’s when the instructions say something like “remove the four screws holding the panel”, three undo like a dream…. and the fourth! It’s almost as if the manufacturers deliberately weld the last screw in place… and then for good measure mangle the head of the screw! (or is that just me!)

Count Confidence is a menace! Took me months to pluck up the courage to fix my washing machine door. Saved about £50 by buying from espares and sorting it myself.
