As you may or may not know, we have decided to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon.
The general mood was originally one of excitement and determination, as the team are committed to doing something great – raising as much money as possible for The Children’s Trust at Tadworth.
A few training sessions later, and while the team is no less determined to run, the initial excitement has been tempered somewhat by the realisation that running 13.1 miles, non-stop, is rather difficult indeed. With the event over four months away, we decided that the best way to keep everyone focussed and motivated was to introduce a bit of competition.
So it was that two team captains were named, and, school playground-style, teams were picked. The two captains, David Laurie and Mike, are now responsible for organising team training sessions and whipping their team in to shape. Both men are desperate to win, as the winner will avoid being awarded this:
