Help for The Kiddies

As mentioned, last week the employees at eSpares participated in the be a Kid for a Kid campaign to help fundraise for ChildLine. The daily competitions proved successful in bringing in donations as well as excuses to poke fun at those who weren’t so successful. See below a summary of the daily competitions and their respective winners.

Tueday’s competition asked ‘Are you smarter than an IT geek?’ with a ‘back to school’ quiz. The winner (very surprisingly) Clarke- who does in fact happen to work in IT.

Wednesday- ‘Funny things your kids say’ Lloyd’s teenage daughter took top prize with her favourite saying, ‘Dad I need money.’

Thursday saw the ‘Guess the Celebrity Kid’ quiz. Mat won with a perfect score. To be fair Clarke also got a perfect score on this quiz but graciously* offered to let Mat take top recognition. *Kicked up a fuss but accepted in the end

Friday a ‘retro’ sweets Tuck shop, ‘Canadian’ style kids lunch of grilled cheese sandwiches and chocolate milk and a Wii competition proved a hit. Jacques was crowned (Wii) tennis champion.

We were able to raise £500 for Childline so thanks for everyone involved in contributing to a great cause.

eSpares directors Martin and Leanne meet with DJ’s at Heart radio station who put on the Kid for a Kid competition.
